Presentation of the city

City traditional step on the N10, Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire is located 30 km south-east of Angoulême and 80 km north of Bordeaux. The neighboring towns are Cognac (30 km), Pons (30 km) and Jonzac (25 km). The Atlantic coast is 70 km.
The town of Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire has several advantages for the development of a framework for pleasant and attractive living. The city has preserved its architectural heritage articulated around two key buildings such as the castle, dating from the fifteenth century and the church of Saint-Mathias built in the eleventh century. The old center of Barbezieux is remarkable homogeneity of its built fabric dating largely from the eighteenth century.
